OVS Products Overview
All our products use public open source at their foundation. Coupled to this is the use of the OASIS EML standards and associated XML record formats for managing and tracking an election, ballots and results.
We strive to produce a trusted election by in addition ensuring multiple verifiable audit trails for ballots and counting. Preferably three and at least two independent sets of counting records are required to allow crosschecking to be meaningful for digital election record keeping. In addition we are completely committed to providing paper ballot records for audit purposes.
Our OVS product suite consists of three complimentary components.
Each component is designed to use the OASIS EML formats associated with its operation. Each component can therefore be used standalone or together, as required.
In addition each component is developed using open source software tools and the core voting components are published to the EMLvoting.org website.
Each component is further designed to make verification and conformance testing easier through the use of XML templates as perscribed by the OASIS EML specifications.
This allows elections to be configured without complex coding tasks and therefore makes long term management of the solutions much more transparent.
A further principle is to ensure that each component operates with the maximum level of privacy and anonymous processing possible.
We provide election management consulting and training that allows customers to be able to control and verify their elections.
Last but not least, our products are designed for open platform operation that allows customers to purchase off-the-shelf hardware with which to deploy their solutions. This provides significant cost savings with added trust benefits when compared to tailored hardware solutions.
